Scavenger Hunt #10

The days of summer are coming to a close.  Sigh.  I'll miss summer.  But this summer has some good memories from doing this scavenger hunt with my team.  Chasing down items. Laughing as we drove to capture the items.  Some of us doing things we wouldn't normally do - like getting up close and personal to beehives.  Thank you Rinda for a good time
Item #11: A forest.  This one we had to kind of stretch as there aren't too many forests in the city and we weren't too terribly close to any.  At one of the parks there is a forest of oak trees that have been around for many, many years.  There is a city ordinance that you can not cut down an oak tree so we stretched our imaginations and  felt this was our forest.

Item #18:  A person sketching or painting outside their house.  Our team spent one day driving through the back orchards and beaches where, on rare, occasions you can find someone with sketchbook, or palette and paints drawing or painting.  We had no luck.  Then we remembered we have a talented friend who has done some paintings for us.  I wish I had a bit of that talent.

Item #4:  A protest, town hall meeting or other political activity.  We just had a one of the Republican debates held around the corner from us with the Republican nominees, but it wasn't open to the public.  I think that would have been a great picture.  Instead we had to settle for one of the monthly city council meetings.

Item #6: A person dressed as a pirate.  This was another difficult one.  I knew of this photo board at the local marina, but didn't know if we could count this since we weren't really "dressed" .

Then we found this pirate.  Maybe one or the other will work for this pirate item.

We have one more item but we've lost the camera that has the picture.  I'm hopeful it will be found by the time the weekend is out.

Blessings to you all and wishes for a memorable and lovely weekend.

  1. So glad you enjoyed the hunt! I think the protests/town hall meetings are among my favorites from the summer.
