Scavenger Hunt #9

With the leaves starting to fall and the days and nights getting cooler I am feeling a little sad to say good-bye to summer.  But not just yet.

Lets do some more summer scavenger hunt finds.

#7 A decorated mailbox.  Don't you just love this mailbox?  I think the New Mexico chili painted on it are perfect.

#20  A handmade roadside memorial or shrine.  This past month driving to and from Texas and New Mexico on some lonely and barren highways we saw several memorial markers on the side of the road.  They act as sobering reminders to drive with care and also feelings of sadness for those who have lost their loved ones.

#17 Rain.  California rarely sees rain in the summer where, New  Mexico has a monsoon season during this time of year.  Although, this year has been pretty dry for them.  My sister did manage to catch this downpour.

  1. Great mailbox! And I love the rain picture, too. I'll be posting a reminder and instructions for the getting to the finish line soon.
